Colour Palette Of The Week #1

Time flies! This was day 4 already of me being an intern at Sanoma Media. I have a great time! I've got my old place back and it's nice to see everyone again. There are 2 another interns of my age who are friendly and also love new media and design. Next week will my accompanist return from her week in Stockholm. She was there for the Stockholm Furniture Fair & Northern Lightfair. Too bad my internship started this week and not some weeks earlier, then I could have join her!

I also got the chance to know and learn Pinterest. All my colleagues at work are obsessed with Pinterest and think it's the trend of 2012. Now I must admit they're right, I love Pinterest aswell. There are so many beautiful inspirational photographs which you can keep, share and do with it whatever you want. It's so handy!

Ok, to come back at the title of this post: I do a lot of things for Kleurinspiratie and what the heg, I love colour! I looked at all the articles and blog posts and got inspired. They have a weekly column called: Colour Palette Of The Week, and I was glad when I saw the previous posts. Then I got the idea to do that also for my blog! Here I have a great example. A beautiful picture which I photoshopped and put some colour pallets in it. And tada, here's the result! What do you think? Great colour combination? Or a colour fiasco?

How is your weekend so far?

Mine is fine! I'm so exited for tomorrow! That's when I return to Sanoma Media (my last internship where I had a great time). Back then I was an intern at "Stay or Go" and "10 voor je Tuin", now will I do things for vtwonen and the other Home Deco sites. I can't wait to see the blogs I wrote appear on those sites! :) But blogging is not the only thing I'm gonna do. I also get involved with the design of the websites and making flyers and banners as promoting.

It will be long (fulltime) weeks for me, but I don't mind it. I think this is gonna be the best internship of all time! I hope I'll get permission to show you things I've made there. In the meantime I'll be working on my portfolio, cause maybe soon, I might get a call from the school I want to study after the Summer. My portfolio has to be complete and good looking for that meeting. But don't worry, I won't let you down! ;-) Oh, and the name of the school I'm applying for is KABK in The Hague. And the study called: Grafisch Ontwerpen. This was the best school I visited. And I've been to a lot, I'm telling you! Great projects, nice students.. Yes, this is the perfect study for me :) My dad (who is a Graphic Designer) is so proud of me and likes that one day, I will do the same thing he does! We can build a father/daughter business together, haha! :) Well, first I have to make my exams at my current school. But, you'll never now what the future brings ;-)

Last Week at Sanoma Media

Hi there!

Deze week begint mijn laatste stageweek bij Sanoma Media. Ik vind het echt ontzettend jammer dat het er bijna op zit. Ik heb het hier heel erg naar mijn zin gehad de afgelopen maanden. Ik vond het heerlijk om een eigen werkplek te hebben en er kwamen heel veel leuke opdrachten voorbij. Ik ga natuurlijk ook mijn collega's Susanne en Elena erg missen. Ik vond het fijn om met hen te werken en ik voelde me echt betrokken bij de groep.

Maar.. het is niet helemaal afgelopen. Ik heb namelijk een vervolgstage bij Sanoma weten binnen te halen. Ik blijf bij online maar dit keer bij de redactie van vtwonen en 101Woonideeën! :D Dit is wat ik vanaf begin af aan al heel graag wilde. Ik liet mijn portfolio zien en ze was zo enthousiast dat het meteen geregeld was. Ik begin er pas in februari, maar van mij mag het volgende week al beginnen! Ik heb het grote nieuws meteen met iedereen gedeeld op Facebook en ik heb zoveel lieve reacties van iedereen gehad, toen was ik stiekem wel een beetje trots op mezelf :)

Dat was het grote nieuws van vorige week, maar deze week staan ook een heleboel dingen op de planning. Te beginnen bij vanavond: het grote concert in de HMH van niemand minder dan Elbow! Man, ik heb hier echt maandenlang naar uitgekeken en vanavond is het dan eindelijk zover. Maar ook de allerlaatste stagedag (donderdag 17 november) zit er aan te komen, maar die gaan we natuurlijk in stijl afsluiten :) Vrijdag ben ik vrij en bezoek ik mijn opa en oma in het hoge noorden én zaterdag is de open dag van het ArtEZ College in Zwolle, die (volgens mij) dé perfecte vervolgopleiding voor mij heeft. Kortom, een drukke maar leuke week met morgen of overmorgen de Live report van Elbow en woensdag of donderdag een nieuwe "Band Of The Month"!

Dit was het voor nu, ik ga lekker naar buiten van het mooie weer genieten, en dat op 14 november ;-)

Goodmorning! :)

As you might read it on Twitter, I've got a cold and don't feeling very well :( That's why I'm home today. To rest out and hoping feeling better tomorrow. Well, there's one good thing in this, now I have finally all the time of the world to blog! :) After my internship at Sanoma I don't feel like blogging because it takes some time and I already do that a lot. But today, on this sunny Wednesday, I'm gonna blog for you :) I have discovered a great new site called Flickr. (you might have heard of it ;-) It has such a cool photos! I always use Shutterstock for nice pics, but it's not a very good site when you need good interior design ones. Well, Flickr does have those photos and much more! When I worked at Ikea it notice me how popular photoframes are. And especially those shelves where you can put them into and don't have to make a hole in your wall. I see it very often in magazines and I think it's a huge trend! Well, these photos do not have shelves but are very inspire full! Oh, and about Ikea.. it's of the running. The department where I wanted to work has no room for me. So I've decided to quit at all. I don't feel like going to an other department where I don't know anything or anybody. I'm also in my last year of school and I've got a really busy year with my exams and internships, so for me, there's actually no use to work this year. I only wanted to stay because I liked the job and the colleagues. But hey, that's life. There will be many other opportunities in the future, so I stick to that!

First week at Sanoma Media

T.G.I.F!

Lieve bloggers, het is officieel weekend! :D Mijn eerste week stage bij Sanoma zit erop. Het is wel weer even wennen hoor, school, stage, het reizen iedere dag.. Maar ik had een prima weekje. Wat jullie? Zitten jullie alweer in de school/werk-modus? Ik heb het erg naar m'n zin op mijn stage. Ik zit met een leuk team op kantoor. Ik mag online veel doen, blogs schrijven, informatie en trends opzoeken etc. Ook hadden we van de week een vergadering met de webdesigners die de nieuwe site voor Stay or Go (dat is het bedrijf waar ik stage loop, onderdeel van vtwonen) gaan maken. Dit was erg leerzaam en maak je ook niet iedere dag mee! Ik ben nu dan misschien stagiaire, toch voel ik me vereerd nu al rond te mogen kijken in het bedrijfsleven van nu. Dat geeft me een goed beeld voor later. Ook de lekkere (gratis!) lunch iedere dag bevalt super! :) Ik heb nu al zin in volgende week!

Oke, dan nu Ikea. Ik wou dat ik daar al meer over kon zeggen, maar helaas. Het is afwachten. Natuurlijk zijn jullie de eerste die het weten. Of ik nou aangenomen word of niet ;)

Morgen is het 10 september. De dag dat er 100.000 afspraken op de planning staan. Hoe kan het dat er zoveel dingen op dié dag vallen? Hoe? Wat ik ga doen? Phoe, ik ben er heel eerlijk gezegd nog steeds niet over uit. Kan ik straks in bed nog even over tubben..

Maandag weer een update van mijn weekend! Aan het weer te zien morgen moet het wel een mooie dag worden. Heerlijk een paar dagen rust. Nou ja, rust.. ;)

Sweet Sixteen!

Vandaag is mijn allerliefste zus van de hele wereld 16 jaar geworden! :D Ik ben dan ook extremely happy for her en een beetje voor mezelf, want ik heb vandaag te horen gekregen dat ik ben aangenomen bij Sanoma, voor een nieuwe stageperiode in september, volgend schooljaar! :D Hele mond vol :P Dubbel feest in huize Greuter dus! Amber, deze is voor jou..
